What Families are Saying

Almost every day, we receive thank you notes and cards from the families we’ve served. Each of these heartfelt messages about our end-of-life care means more to us than we can express here, because it affirms the fact that we are doing what we set out to do when we opened the doors of Integrity Funeral Care: help families celebrate, pay tribute to, and memorialize a loved one with compassionate attentive care, the highest-quality funeral products, and thorough unwavering professionalism. Please take some time to read these testimonials from clients we have served, and whose expectations we exceeded.

If your decision is cremation, Integrity Funeral Care should be your first and last thought. When my husband suddenly died, I was numb as most are, and without pre-planning I chose a funeral home not thinking twice about it. Within the next couple of hours, I was informed the cost would be over $5,000.

My sister in her right mind asked me to call Integrity. Doing so and speaking to David Pena, it was apparent that he was a man of compassion, strength, and integrity. He took the time to explain the process and cost, which surprisingly was so much lower.

Each time I called, David spent as much time or as little time as I needed. He took care of everything and was available each and every time. David picked up the death certificate and called me immediately knowing the cause of death was incorrect.

David went out of his way, making it possible for me and my children to see my husband one final time. He drove from his home one late evening and allowed us the closure without all the equipment from the hospital. He respected our privacy, and not one time did he rush us. For that one night, I will never forget David and silently thank him each day.

Since then, I have received cards, telephone calls and this year a Christmas card. It is a simple as this; He cares, he takes pride, and he helps you through a terrible time.

Even after reading this, if you have concerns regarding cremation, this memory may guide you.

A couple of years before my husband died, every weekend we, as others, drove by a cemetery on the way to a store. In clear sight we saw a man sit on a bench each and every weekend. He had no privacy, for every one could see his sadness. David (my husband) use to comment each weekend how terrible that must be. We really never discussed death, but I knew he would not want to be that man or me to be the one sitting on the bench.

Cremation gave me and my children the freedom of giving David his last wishes. For us to spread some of his ashes where he would want to be and to know that his ashes will be with mine is a decision that I was able to make. I still have David with us and his memory will never fade. Thanks to David Pena and his staff I’m able to remember our final good bye and kiss.

June Smith
Our experience with Integrity and David Pena surpassed all our expectations when my husband passed away.

David Pena is the kindest, most compassionate person - he guided and eased our way through such a sad task.

We could never thank him enough for all his advice and services - he went out of his way to help every step of the way.

Thank you David

Shirley Traylor-Middleton and Family
My family would like to express our gratitude to David Pena and his staff at Integrity Funeral Care.

The passing of our father was an incredibly difficult and sad time for us. It was even more difficult to plan the arrangements we needed to make for him. We greatly appreciate how David made that a much easier task to deal with. Upon making our decisions, he guided us through the process and took care of all that was needed, and our family was able to just deal with the grief.

We would recommend Integrity Funeral Care to anyone in need of excellent and affordable funeral care services with an owner and a company that understands their customers' needs.

The Chairez Family
I agree so much with the testimonials. Integrity makes the process of saying good bye to a loved one a little easier.

One year ago this past Christmas, we lost my mom and my mother-in-law three weeks apart, it was a very numbing, painful time. We met with David Pena and Jame Fort to make the final arrangements. They spent as much time with us as we needed to, to help us make sure that we had taken care of everything from the beginning to the end of the process. Jame and Cara took such wonderful and compassionate care when they picked up my mom and allowed me to kiss her good bye, as they did with my mother-in-law.

They will always have our undying love and gratitude for being there at a difficult time. If you are reading this and wondering what to do about final arrangements for a loved one, I urge you to consider Integrity. The name says it all.

By purchasing mom's casket at Integrity Funeral Care, rather than a funeral home, we received an absolutely beautiful casket and saved significant money. On top of that, delivery was the same day we placed the order!

A very sincere Thank You to Integrity Funeral Care for taking a great load off our shoulders as we struggled with pressing family issues.

In 2008, my beloved brother Craig died of ALS. There was a unplesant situation in regards to possession of the ashes. Integrity handled the situation in a professional and supportive manner.

I was able to obtain his ashes and give him the proper good bye thanks to the wonderful and understanding staff.

The services at Integrity Funeral Care are simply the very best. From the beginning they took care of EVERYTHING in a caring way. I would highly recommend them.

When my mother-in-law died Mar 1, 2010, we had Integrity Funeral Care take care of the cremation process for us. There were no "up" charges like other places and they took care of everything quickly and in a professional manner. Would highly recommend the use of their services. We will do business with them again.

I have spent the last 3 months making decisions on final services for my wife and I. It was very discouraging until I met David Pena who is a true professional and cares about the people who come to him for help. He has reasonable prices compared to the local funeral homes. You can literally save thousands of dollars. He is a compassionate, caring person and spends all the time you need to get things right. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for pre-need and especially for immediate need.

Our family is very pleased with the way Integrity Funeral Care - particularly Patricia - assisted us when our wife and mother passed away. Patricia very patiently and kindly answered all our questions, helped us arrange for burial of her ashes at the VA Cemetery, and made a very difficult time more bearable. We know their business is "customer service" oriented, but they excel in this area. We were able to arrange the cremation and provide the best at a most reasonable price.

To: Integrity Funeral Care/David Pena

Dear David,

We wanted to take a minute to let you know how much we appreciate everything you did to help us through the events of my Mother’s passing Maria Zakharia. We felt so comfortable leaving all the details in your hands and you certainly surpassed every expectation. From sorting the overwhelming paperwork to coordinating event times, the burial casket, and the full funeral burial - you were there.

There were even the small touches that you didn’t have to do – like helping me during distress locating where my Mother was after her passing, providing a printout for the “survivor husband benefits”, copies of my Mother’s death Notice/Certificate, your online Press Obituary, Oh yes the flowers, but most importantly the kindness of explaining all the process of the funeral from beginning to end for someone in heavy heart that did not sleep in days…

We especially appreciated the sincere care and concern you showed every member of our family and our friends at the service church, and at the cemetery. My Father was so comforted by your kind words and empathy during this difficult time and we recognize how important that was to him.  He liked you very much and said “I like him, his eyes and character are true-passed from Spain (you touched his heart) during your conversation with him.

We know that you professionally handle these events every day, but to us it seemed that you were doing it just for us. We know that we made the right choice to use Integrity Funeral Care.

We wish you, health and happiness. Again, thank you for everything you have done for us, also to Mr. Victor and all your Staff the same.

Sincerely,

Joseph and Mireille  Zakaria, Houston, TX
I have to say that all the comments about David and his service are true. God led me to his website at the last minute, because my mother passed away the day after I met with David.

This guy is "real"; he seems to truly care, unlike a lot of other funeral homes. He's not trying to rip you off or sell you unnecessary stuff like some places. His business will be blessed and be successful because he has a good heart.

As an African-American, I can say that he did a great job for my mother, and I will highly recommend his company to anyone.

B. Houston Family
Integrity Funeral Care made the cremation process of my dad as easy as possible during this difficult time. We found the forms on their website very easy to complete. We only let hospice know to call them when the time came.

They offered a clear statement of their services and pricing, saving us hundreds, if not thousands of dollars when compared to other funeral homes. We handled all the arrangements online, and when ever we called, we were given updates and were treated with compassion.

Their website was helpful too with information on planning, obituaries, catalogs with reasonable prices for ashes, etc.

We mentioned that my dad was a veteran and they provided us a flag free of charge along with the ashes.

I would recommend them to any family who needed to make arrangements for a family member. They were professional and caring.

The Cawthon Family - Houston, TX
The wonderful staff at Integrity was incredibly helpful to us. The nursing home where my mother was receiving care told us that we had to use a funeral home. That didn’t seem right to us, so we did some research. We talked to a local funeral home as well as Integrity. Both explained the costs, and paying $1,500 extra to have our mom cremated at a funeral home instead of Integrity seemed outrageous. The funeral home really couldn’t justify their extra expenses. With Integrity, we were able to take care of all the paperwork online and via email which was incredibly helpful in the last few days of our mother’s life. We got to spend that extra time with her instead of worrying about arrangements.

I was also impressed and thankful when the staff called me to let me know that my mother’s remains had been shipped. They were being sent to my sister in Austin, and it was quite helpful to her emotionally to know the exact day she could expect to receive them.

The staff was professional and respectful. From reading the other testimonials, it’s clear that they are very compassionate and ready to help grieving families. However, I also appreciate the fact that they did not assume we needed grief counseling, and I never sensed any “fake” expressions of condolences as I have found at some funeral homes. They were exactly what we needed: kind, courteous, and efficient.

I have noticed that there is still some prejudice in the south against cremation, and the vast majority of families are either pressured into using expensive funeral homes or do so because they are unfamiliar with other possibilities. Given our experience with Integrity, there is no reason to feel awkward about refusing unnecessary funeral home services. I now have Integrity Funeral as part of my packet of last wishes, so my family won’t have any decisions to make in that regard.

I required funeral services in May 2014, for a family member who passed. Integrity Funeral Care offered their services at the best price so I went with them. They provided excellent service and saved me money.
