Robert Broadus Heos passed away in his home in Houston, TX on April 10, 2017. He was a loving father, a loyal brother, and a caring friend to many. He enjoyed watching old movies, long walks, and reading. He also loved riding motorcycles, golfing, and fishing.
Born in Augusta, GA to parents John and Grace, Bob and his family moved across several states including Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Missouri before finally settling down in Houston, TX in 1999. Along the way,
Bob touched many lives with his caring personality and positive outlook on life.
Bob was a successful leader and excellent people person and made a living working for our military veterans at the VA Medical Center. He was always ready and willing to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors and was well-liked by everyone. His keen sense of humor made many people smile.
Bob was also a family man. His sons were his life and he taught them many life lessons. Whether it was teaching his sons how to ride a bike, drive a four wheeler, or drive at car, Bob taught his sons that perseverance was the key to overcoming all obstacles in life.
He is survived by his sons, Robby and Ricky, his brother Ted, Karen ( Mother of Robby and Ricky), and his grandchildren Reagan and Adelyn.
"When I'm Gone"
When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile
Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun
Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day
Then forget to grieve for my going
I would not have you sad for a day
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay
And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best
